Required Qualification: Any graduate + Diploma in Health & Safety
Ø. To develop & implement EHS policies, procedures. Communicate a EHS management plan to all plant personnel.
Ø Coordinate and conducts work area assessment, surveys and program evaluations to determine the presence of hazardous conditions, such as noise exposure, Silica/ chemical exposure, indoor air quality, light levels, confined space and ventilation.
Ø To display sign boards of the EHS related communication in the unit.
Ø Responsible to make reports of accidents, dangerous occurrences and fire damage, determine their causes and make recommendations for improving recurrence prevention and controls.
Ø Ensure that the Fire Extinguishers are checked & inspected maintained in good order and training on handling fire is carried out in the unit.
Ø Evaluate hazardous conditions and recommends engineering controls, administrative controls, and/or personal protective equipment.
Ø Prepare a EHS budget and monitors requirements and expenditures
Ø Coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy. Along with maintenance of ETP/STP & related documents.
Ø He would be responsible for liaisoning with the inspector of Factories/Pollution Board and the medical services concerning medical examination of employees, health records, supervision of hazardous jobs, sick visiting and convalescence, accident prevention and supervision of safety committees, systematic plant inspection, safety education and investigation of accidents.
